Art Book Printing

Art book printing focuses on presenting artwork clearly without losing its original character. The paper surface affects color depth and fine detail, while the binding determines how the pages move during viewing. The cover also shapes the first impression of the book. Each production choice should support the visual style of the project so the finished art book feels consistent from cover to cover.

What Makes an Art Book Different?

An art book is built around visual content rather than text alone. The printed pages need to retain the character of the original work while creating a smooth viewing experience. Color control, paper response and book structure all influence how the artwork is presented in the finished edition.

  • Consistent Color Across Pages

Stable color balance keeps a series of artworks visually connected from one spread to the next.

  • Paper That Supports the Artwork

The surface changes contrast and image texture, so the selected stock should match the style of the original work.

  • Clear Viewing Near the Gutter

A suitable layout and binding structure help protect important image details close to the center of the book.

  • A Complete Physical Presentation

The cover and page proportions should support the artwork without distracting from the content.

FAQ

What is the MOQ for art book printing?

Our standard MOQ is 500 copies. A trial order from 300 copies may be accepted after the production details are confirmed.

How much does it cost to print an art book?

The price is calculated from the finished specification and required quantity. Send us your print-ready file so we can prepare an accurate quotation.

Can I order a sample before bulk production?

Yes. A physical sample allows you to review the printed color and finished book quality before mass production.

What image resolution should I use?

Artwork should normally be prepared at 300 DPI at its final printed size.

Should my files be prepared in CMYK?

Yes. CMYK provides a more realistic reference for offset printing, although some screen colors may still change after printing.

Can different papers be used in the same book?

Yes. A second paper stock can be added for selected sections when the binding structure supports it.

Can one order include different cover versions?

Yes. Multiple cover versions may be produced when the interior remains unchanged. The quantity for each version should be confirmed before quotation.

How long does production take?

Sample production usually takes about 3–7 working days. Bulk production normally takes about 10–15 working days after final approval.
