Solid teal, yellow, blue and brown samples show how the same notebook structure can be produced in coordinated cover and accessory colors. Each sample combines a linen-wrapped hardcover, numbered ruled pages, an elastic closure, two ribbon markers and an expandable rear pocket.
Bulk editions follow the approved specifications, customer-supplied cover artwork and final interior PDF.
The elastic length and fixing position should be confirmed after the cover size, page count and paper have determined the finished book thickness. A loose band will not hold the covers together securely, while excessive tension can press into the cover or distort the book.
The production sample is used to check the band width, color, tension and alignment. These details can be coordinated with the linen cover and ribbon markers.
The sample uses 100 gsm offset paper with ruled lines, printed page numbers and rounded corners. One plain ribbon and one patterned ribbon make two marked pages easy to distinguish without adding divider tabs.
For OEM notebook printing, line spacing, page numbering and any introductory or reference sections follow the supplied interior PDF. If the finished notebook is intended for fountain pens or other wet inks, the selected paper should be tested with the intended writing instruments before approval.
A folded paper pocket is attached inside the back cover for cards, notes and small printed inserts. Its usable opening should be checked against the actual insert dimensions rather than the notebook page size.
Thick or oversized inserts can prevent the cover from closing evenly or make the final book difficult to pack. Their size and quantity should therefore be included when the bound sample is reviewed.
The visible weave of linen affects how fine lettering and small logo details reproduce. Debossing, foil stamping or screen printing can be applied when the artwork and selected material are suitable. Thin strokes, small spaces and large solid areas should be assessed before a die or screen is made.
The logo file should be supplied separately from the interior PDF. A physical sample made with the selected linen color and finishing process provides the reference for logo position, impression and contrast during bulk production.
