PU Leather Book Printing

Made for editions that need a durable cover and a more substantial presentation, this structure combines a printed book block with a PU-wrapped exterior. The cover may be firm or flexible according to the way the finished book will be handled. Surface texture and production details are selected to support the supplied artwork rather than simply imitate genuine leather. Before sampling, we can review the files and identify adjustments required for printing or assembly.

Finish Options

Finishing should suit the selected PU surface and remain clear after production. A sample is recommended when the artwork contains fine lines or small lettering.

Foil Stamping

Foil Stamping

Reflective foil can be applied to selected cover details when the material surface supports a clean transfer.

Embossing

Embossing

A selected detail is raised to create visible depth across the cover surface.

Debossing

Debossing

The design is pressed into the PU without additional color, allowing the material itself to form the visible impression.

Gilded Edges

Gilded Edges

Metallic finishes applied to page edges for a luxury appearance.

Painted Edges

Painted Edges

Color is applied to the trimmed page edges so the effect becomes visible when the book is closed.

Elastic Band

Book Paper Options

The interior stock should be selected according to the printed content and the way the pages will be used. Paper thickness also affects the final spine width.

  • Gloss Art Paper: A coated reflective surface supports bright image reproduction and stronger visual contrast.

  • Matte Art Paper: The lower-glare coating keeps printed images clear while producing a softer surface appearance.

  • Uncoated Paper: A natural writable surface works well for text pages and projects that require regular note-taking.

Artwork and Cover File Preparation

A print-ready PDF is preferred for the interior pages. The cover should be prepared separately after the paper and page count have been confirmed, because these details determine the final spine width. Editable vector files are recommended for logos and special finishing areas. Foil, embossing or debossing artwork should be placed on clearly identified layers.

We mainly manufacture from buyer-supplied artwork. Our team can review the production setup and suggest necessary adjustments, but original cover design and page layout are not included.

PU Leather Hardcover Books

PU Leather Hardcover Book Printing

A rigid board wrapped in PU leather creates a firm structure with better protection for the inner pages. The leather-look surface adds a refined hand feel, while the solid cover helps the finished book keep its shape during long-term use.

Flexible PU Leather Editions

PU Leather Flexibound Book Printing

A softer cover structure makes the book lighter and more comfortable to hold than a standard hardcover. The flexible PU leather surface still provides reliable protection and gives the finished book a neat appearance for regular reading or writing.

Spiral or Wire-O binding allows pages to turn smoothly and makes the book easier to write in during daily use. The PU leather cover adds strength to the outside and gives the finished product a cleaner, more professional look.

FAQ

Is PU Leather the Same as Genuine Leather?

No. PU is a manufactured cover material that creates a leather-look surface with more consistent color and texture for batch production.

Can You Match a Specific PU Leather Color?

We can compare the requested color with available material swatches. A physical reference is more reliable than a screen image when the match is important.

Will Every Logo Process Work on Every PU Surface?

Not always. Fine details may behave differently on smooth and heavily textured materials, so the logo artwork and selected surface should be reviewed together.

How Is the Cover Spine Width Confirmed?

The final measurement is calculated from the actual paper thickness and total page count. The complete cover file should be finalized only after these details are confirmed.

What file format should I provide?

A print-ready PDF is preferred because it keeps the page layout stable. Separate cover artwork should also be provided when required.

Can One Order Include Different Cover Colors?

This may be possible when the book block and finished dimensions remain unchanged. The required quantity for each color should be provided before quotation.

Can I Order a Sample Before Bulk Production?

Yes. A physical sample allows you to review the material surface and logo result before approving mass production.

What Is the Minimum Order Quantity?

Our standard MOQ is 500 copies. A trial quantity from 300 copies may be considered after the specification is confirmed.

How Long Does Production Take?

Sample production usually takes about 3–7 working days. Bulk production normally takes around 10–15 working days after the files and sample are approved.
